Why Do Arabs Lie So Much About Jews?

Arab lies about Jews and Israel have been rampant even before Israel became a nation. You have to wonder about a group that needs to lie in order to make their cause just. Either a cause is just based on facts or it is not.
Same goes for the Paranoid Internet Circus Freaks who pollute the blogosphere. They use the same lies, new lies, and rhetoric to try to villify the Jews.
Here are a bunch of lies that have circulated around the internet recently. Most are too ridiculous to debunk, but if you click the links provided you will either see the refutation or the actual hilarious accusations:

#1 That 4000 jews didn't go to work and Israeli Mossad flew planes in the WTC.

#2 That CNN used old footage to show palestinians dancing in the streets on 9/11 CNN link

I've got one: Apartheid Israel came into existence due to the charity of the UN and exists today only because of the huge welfare checks it gets from Uncle Sam.

Gee... I wonder if this will get published!?

Beaj,

True or false: Apartheid Israel was created by virtue of a UN resolution?

True or false: Apartheid Israel receives more welfare from Uncle Sam than any other nation on earth?

Calling Israel an apartheid state shows me you either don't know what apartheid means and/or you are an imbecile.

Many countries in the middle east were formed by the League of Nations which changed into the UN. that means zero. The fact is that the Brits controlled the land and it was up to them how it would be divvied up, not the Arabs, and not the Jews. Most countries today were created by war.

As far as aid goes, it makes up 3% of Israels total GDP. And most of it is spent back in the US.

1) Israel would survive without aid, in fact aid stops Israel from pissing off the oil nations, because Israel would defend itself one way or the other with or without the help of the US.

2) The US would be spending a lot more in the region to keep things in check if it didn't help Israel out. It is a strategic move by the US to keep things as moderate as possible.

If the genocidal freaks (the Palestinians) dropped their arms, there would be peace.

Apartheid......LMAO

The idea of nude female soldiers is appealing to me. The old adage of the sixties, "make love not war" could be the intent of this strategy.

"There are no Palestinians." A bit old (goes back to Golda Meir, apparently) but still really popular, even among some Jewish bloggers I'm friendly with.
****************************
Never liked that one. There were indigenous Arabs in the Palestine region, but they never identified themselves as Palestinians officially until the mid 60's.

And another one:

"Arabs invented the Palestinians so they could rob the Israelis of their land and belongings."
****************************
I don't know who believes that or if anyone takes that one seriously.

Or try:

"The British betrayed the Jews [in 1947] but what to expect: they're anti-Semites."
**************************
The Brits betrayed both the Jews and Arabs from a time prior to when they took over from the Ottoman Empire. Yes, there has been a deep history of anti-semitism by the Brits, probably more than many European nations on a scale of 1 to 10.

And whilst I'm at it:

"Iran is the new Nazi Germany and Ahmedinejad is its Hitler."
***************************
Again, that is just rhetoric and inflated opinion, but it isn't along the same lines as the obvious lies that are on my list.

Also:

"Islam is a terrorist organisation."
******************************
Again, rhetoric and inflated opinion.

And:

"Muslim anti-Semitism is the root cause of the Arab/Israeli conflict."
**************************
Arab intolerance is the root of the conflict from day one. Had the Arabs accepted the partition and a Jewish majority state where a Jewish majority existed in 1947, there would be no conflict.

And:

"Mohammed was a pedophile."
**********************
Culturally, middle easterners took young wives at that time and before it. I don't have enough info as to whether he was a pedophile or not. And again, this is said more to upset Muslims than as a blatant lie as the ones on my list.

And:

"The Israeli/Arab conflict is a religious conflict."
***************************
It is partially religious.

And:

"Hezbollah captured two Israelis soldier, then started to rocket-barrage Israeli towns."
***************************
The first part is true. I'm not sure who says the second and believes it. But the kidnapping was preplanned, and I think Hezbollah expected retaliation of some sort. They did have quite an arsenal aimed at Israel at the time of the kidnapping.

Lastly (but not exhaustively):

"If only the Palis laid down their arms there would be peace."
****************************
That is 100% true.

"I don't know who believes that or if anyone takes that one seriously."

I do know quite a few that do believe just that: you underestimate the scope and power of Israeli propaganda.

"[...] anti-semitism by the Brits, probably more than many European nations on a scale of 1 to 10."

Prove it. Where did the Balfour declaration come from? And why?

"Again, that is just rhetoric and inflated opinion, but it isn't along the same lines as the obvious lies that are on my list."

Many rightwing US bloggers go out of their way to prove it, provide evidence and bizarre rationalisations to underpin it: to them it's an article of faith, not just rhetoric. The US is very good at mollifying the general public when an attack might be deemed necessary.

"Again, rhetoric and inflated opinion."

No: widely believed among deeply Conservative Americans (but also among Conservative Europeans)

"Arab intolerance is the root of the conflict from day one. Had the Arabs accepted the partition and a Jewish majority state where a Jewish majority existed in 1947, there would be no conflict."

Anybody who at the time expected the creation of Israel to be a painless process for the region needed a head-check: no effort of nation building is ever without peril for the neighbours. International Zionists, decades before 1947, were pondering the question of how to keep things as civil as possible because they knew things weren't going to be easy.

The Arabs missed a trick in 1947 by rejecting partitioning, sure. But 1967 and the prolonged occupation and settlement of Gaza and West Bank are now the main obstacle to peace, even for Israel's internal politics.

"Culturally, middle easterners took young wives at that time and before it. I don't have enough info as to whether he was a pedophile or not. And again, this is said more to upset Muslims than as a blatant lie as the ones on my list."

It doesn't matter whether you have that info or not: it's believed by many on the Right, even immortalised in popular songs. It's a lie of the same proportions as many on your list.

"The first part is true. I'm not sure who says the second and believes it. But the kidnapping was preplanned, and I think Hezbollah expected retaliation of some sort. They did have quite an arsenal aimed at Israel at the time of the kidnapping."

The chronology of events is constantly being twisted by Israel-firsters. Richard Littlejohn also did it in his shockdoc. I've been booed down for saying that Israel reacted to the soldier abductions, then the rockets started raining down. But facts don't really matter, do they?

The bottom line is that you come up with a number of Arab lies, when in reality there exist just as many lies in the West regarding Arabs, Muslims and the Arab/Israeli conflict. Broadly speaking none of these lies are very widely believed, but they are nonetheless believed by some.

Baconeater said...

You are right. England isn't as bad as other European countries when it comes to anti-Jewish sentiment.
But the lies in the Muslim world are believed by a lot more than the rhetoric that is told in the West.

I know this for a fact, and I can give lots of examples, but I don't want to get in a pissing contest.

Oh, and is Littlejohn an Israeli firster?

BHCh said...

Good effort, but the list is infinite.

This is an interesting one: http://www.vtjp.org/report/overview.htm

"Oh, and is Littlejohn an Israeli firster?"

Where did I say that? I didn't.

In his documentary he clearly explains Lebanon II as "two soldier abduction and rocket barrages by Hezbollah followed by Israel's response". Watch it again if you don't believe me. That scenario has in itself become a lie propagated by the Israel-firsters, who stop at nothing in terms of twisting the truth to achieve their means.

Littlejohn no doubt believes this in a bona fide kind of way because he's an intellectual flyweight. The man is also obsessed with homosexuality and immigration. Go figure...

So he arrived more or less at the correct conclusions, so what? It ain't rocket science...

Wow, I'm amazed at this particular lie propagated by Gert. And the funny thing is that he accuses others of lying. I know I'm writing this over a month later, but it needs to be said.
Hezbollah did indeed shoot a rocket barrage at Israel before any Israel retaliation. This is a well documented fact.
For example,
"Hezbollah attacked several Israeli towns with rocket fire, wounding several civilians, the Israeli military said. Israeli civilians rushed into their bomb shelters and many remained there through the day.
But that attack was a diversion for the main operation, several miles to the east, where Hezbollah militants fired antitank missiles at two armored Humvees patrolling the Israeli side of the border fence, the military said. Of the seven soldiers in the two jeeps, three were killed, two were wounded and two were abducted, the military said."

Another,
"Hezbollah fighters based in southern Lebanon launch Katyusha rockets across the border with Israel, targeting the town of Shlomi and outposts in the Shebaa Farms area.
In a cross-border raid, guerrillas seize two Israeli soldiers before retreating back into Lebanon, insisting on a prisoner exchange and warning against confrontation. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert describes the capture of the soldiers as "an act of war". "
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5179434.stm
Or,
"The crisis started when, around 9 a.m. local time, Hizbollah launched several rockets from Lebanese territory across the withdrawal line (the so-called Blue Line) towards Israel Defense Forces (IDF) positions near the coast and in the area of the Israeli town of Zarit. In parallel, Hizbollah fighters crossed the Blue Line into Israel and attacked an IDF patrol. Hizbollah captured two IDF soldiers, killed three others and wounded two more."

The Arab and far-left propaganda machine worked very well to hide this fact by promulgating the lie that Hezbollah started a rocket barrage only after Israeli retaliation.
Their propaganda worked so well it seems, that they got beaj fooled.
